What Your Software Can Do

The Watchtower API lets your own software do what your staff do on the site. It can add and change parties, screen them, read the results and download certificates and reports.

We screen a party when your software adds it and each time your schedule falls due. Your software can also screen on demand.

Screen a Client at the Door

A one-off check screens a name once and leaves your book unchanged. It suits a firm that wants to screen a person before deciding to take the client on.

Your first 1,000 checks each month are included. Each further check costs $0.20, and $0.10 above 10,000 in the month.

Notices to Your System

We send a short message to your system when a screening leaves a party in Review or Match, and when a run of your whole book finishes. Each message is signed. A message carries no name, date of birth or list entry.

Prove It on Invented Names

A test key works on invented names. Your developer can build and prove the connection before any client data is sent. A test key counts nothing and costs nothing.

Certificates for Your Regulator

Your software can download a certificate for each screening of each party. Each certificate is a PDF file that is locked against editing and digitally signed, which allows your regulator or auditor to confirm that it is unchanged since Watchtower issued it.

Built for Volume

Your firm may make 600 calls a minute. One call may add up to 1,000 parties. Plans cover books of up to 100,000 parties.

The API carries a version in its address. We may add calls and fields to a version. We will not rename or remove a field, or change what a call does, within a version.

Pricing

The API is included with the Firm plan and every Institution plan. Firm covers up to 2,000 parties for $395 a month. Institution covers up to 10,000 parties for $795 a month.

Institution 25 covers up to 25,000 parties for $1,495 a month. Institution 50 covers up to 50,000 parties for $2,495 a month. Institution 100 covers up to 100,000 parties for $3,995 a month. For more than 100,000 parties, write to support@watchtowerkyc.com.
